After school, my bff Tyler and I went to Taco Bell and then Target. It's not really that unusual of a day, but it was very fun for me. Since Tyler and I have only been best friends for a few months now, and because I've never really had very close IRL friends, it's such a new experience for me to just hang out with people after school. I really like it.
So at Target, we went to the cosmetics section, and after a short discussion about the best brush to user for bronzer, and the womanless beauty pageant next month at my school that Tyler's in, we head over to the face wash section. Tyler has had a lot of personal woe with his skin (personally, I honestly don't think it's bad at all) and I decided to hook him up with my skin care products and the routine I generally use for my face.
First off, I gently exfoliate with St. Ive's Apricot Scrub (I've been using the firming and tightening kind for a few weeks now) in order to get rid of flaking skin and smooth everything out, and then I quickly and lightly wash with Clean and Clear Deep Action Refreshing Gel Cleanser (oil free) to be extra sure I get the crushed walnut exfoliating pieces from the scrub off my face. I try extra hard not to scrub too roughly with either because I have a habit of washing my face roughly, which of course irritates the skin and causes breakouts. Then I moisturize (I use a Mary Kay hydrating gel at night, but I don't think those are sold in stores since I got it from my aunt).
I picked out St. Ive's Apricot Scrub for him and me, only we got the blackhead and blemish remover instead, and after checking the ingredients, got the Target brand imitation of Neutrogena face cleanser for oily skin for just him. The ingredients were exactly the same for both, so I assumed there was no difference aside for the price. I hope I don't mess up his face...lol. And then, as a gift, I bought him Olay face moisturizer.
Ooh, there was this fucking awesome all natural Be Fine exfoliating face wash that I had bought my sister and had used a little myself. perfect skin when I used it. But it's fifteen dollars for only five or so ounces. Oh hell no. I love my face, but I'm not using liquid gold on it.
It is so fucking awesome to have a gay best friend. I feel like a more sophisticated Grace Adler. XD
